Looking back in time is always a bit of fun. Here is a picture of Jesse in his 1968 Bronco which was purchased in 1998 and sold in 2002.
While a lot of money went into this rig, and it was a lot of fun to have, it was a bit unreliable and hard to manage.
To say it best, it was like combining a muscle car and sports car, then taking that and putting it on a short wheelbase 4x4 platform. It was quick, loud, and brought a lot of attention. But like anything of it's type, it used gas like there was no tomorrow, and would break it's own parts because of the excess of horsepower. While it is sometimes missed, it is missed in the same way you miss your first car. It wasn't the best car, or most reliable, but you have a lot of fond memories of it anyway.
The rigs we have today are so much better in so many ways. Better fuel economy, more comfortable, and more capable. Most of all, more reliable. But it is still fun to remember "the old days" from time to time.
